of the State of Virginia Chapters and the Virginia Area
Gospel Announcers Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of
America, Inc.
These local Chapters are
the basic unit of organization of GMWA. They offer to
its membership and others performance, academic and ministry
opportunities. A Chapter Representative heads each local
chapter that follows rules and regulations established by
the Chapter Representatives Division of the parent body.
The Virginia Area Gospel Announcers Guild is a voluntary
association of Religious Announcers who have come together
to address their common needs as professional broadcasters.
This affiliate was born out of the lack of emphasis and
concern placed on religious broadcasting, as well as
religious broadcasters, by the nation's major broadcast and
record industry conventions and associations.
